Summary: The role of Software Engineer involves developing embedded, Real Time software for missile subsystem products. The position is hands-on and requires integration of software from various sources, including firmware and hardware. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop embedded, Real Time software targeting C, C++, and/or Ada languages.
- Integrate software with other software from multiple sources, firmware, and hardware.
- Continually develop and evolve missile subsystem software products for future applications.
Key Skills:
- Experience in the development of Embedded software with C, C++ (Ada experience beneficial but not essential).
- Knowledge of Real Time Operating Systems.
- Excellent analytical and design ability, including review and critical analysis.
- Effective communication skills with multiple stakeholders.
- Awareness of developing and deploying software on Real Time Operating Systems, Risc-V, and ARM-based processing platforms.
- Knowledge of modern software development practices.
- Familiarity with standards such as DefStan 00-55 & DO178B/C and restricted coding standards like MISRA/SPARK is advantageous.
