Summary: We are looking for experienced Software Engineers with expertise in PLC and SCADA to contribute to advanced defence technology projects in Motherwell, Lanarkshire. The role involves developing high-quality software solutions within a multi-disciplinary team, adhering to industry standards. Applicants must be UK passport holders and born in the UK due to contract requirements. The initial contract is for 6 months, with the possibility of extension up to 23 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative, high-quality software for leading UK defence projects
- Utilise a variety of tools and programming languages, contributing across the full software lifecycle in a collaborative team
- Support junior team members and lead in review/assurance activities
- Design, implement, test, and deploy control system solutions
Key Skills:
- Background in Instrumentation & Control Engineering (or similar)
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA, and DCS systems
- Must be a UK passport holder and born in the UK
- Vetting process will include 5 years' referencing and a drug screen

Role: Software Engineers - PLC & SCADA
Location: Motherwell
Contract: 6 months initially. May be extended up to 23 months maximum. 37.5 hours per week.
Pay rate: £45 - £60 per hour (PAYE only)
