On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Software Engineer (NodeJS) for a 12 month (Inside IR35) contract based Hybrid in Manchester or Blackpool.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. As the UK's biggest public service department, it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers. Working with DWP, you will be helping us to drive our priorities to:

. Help people to move into work and support those already in work to progress, with the aim of increasing overall workforce participation

As a Software Engineer (NodeJS), your main responsibilities will be:
. To develop and maintain software products that make up citizen services and contribute towards their design.
. Responsible for the operational stability of the products you build and be in a position to affect change in the on-going robustness and resilience of those products.
. To work within, and contribute to, the overall Software Development Lifecycle Process as part of a multi-functional Agile delivery team focused on one or more products.

Essential:
. Demonstrable experience working with Software Engineering collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack
. Experience of modifying and maintaining systems and code developed by other Software Engineers
. Experience building public facing and internal REST
