Software Engineer (Kotlin/React)

Job description - the role

Purpose of the role:

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team building the next generation of a business-critical platform that supports Sales teams with richer client insights and a more integrated client management experience.

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, robust, and well-tested applications.
• Build and enhance full-stack solutions using modern Front End and JVM-based technologies.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver value through iterative releases.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and production support activities.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability and performance of live services.
• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

The skills you'll need:

• Strong commercial experience in full-stack or Back End software engineering.
• Experience working with JVM-based technologies, ideally Kotlin (or strong Java with Kotlin).
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript and React would be beneficial.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including OOP, functional programming concepts, and design patterns.
• Proven experience working within Extreme Programming (XP) environments, including TDD, Pair Programming, Continuous Refactoring, and Trunk-Based Development.
• Proven experience building scalable, maintainable software systems and working with CI/CD pipelines in Agile environments.
