Full Stack Engineer – AI, Java, React & AWS

We’re recruiting a talented Full Stack Engineer for a global technology company that has transformed how millions of people plan and experience travel.

You’ll join a multidisciplinary Customer Experience Engineering team , developing intelligent conversational and discovery tools that make it easier for customers to find options tailored to their needs.

Working across web and mobile platforms, you’ll deliver high-impact features using modern full-stack technologies, AWS and agentic AI.

What you’ll be working on

• Building intelligent, customer-facing conversational and discovery experiences used at global scale.
• Developing modern micro frontends using JavaScript, TypeScript and React or Vue.js.
• Creating backend-for-frontend services and scalable Java-based web services.
• Designing, building and integrating REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Using AI agents to accelerate engineering delivery and introduce AI capabilities into customer-facing products.
• Translating product requirements into clear technical intents and acceptance criteria.
• Reviewing, testing and refining agent-generated code to ensure quality and maintainability.
• Deploying production services using a tailored AWS technology stack.
• Taking end-to-end ownership of features, from design and development through to testing and release.
• Collaborating with engineers, product partners and stakeholders across multiple international locations.

Essential experience

• At least 3 years’ professional software engineering experience across full-stack, frontend or backend development.
• Experience delivering production-grade web applications across frontend and backend technologies.
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript development skills.
• Commercial experience with a modern frontend framework such as React or Vue.js .
• Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS .
• Backend development experience using Java or associated Java frameworks.
• Experience building, exposing and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs .
• Direct, hands-on experience using AI agents to deliver software features.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into customer-facing products or digital experiences.
• Strong AWS experience, including build and deployment tooling such as CloudFormation .
• Ability to develop comprehensive unit and integration tests across the technology stack.
• Understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases and data-modelling fundamentals.
• Proficiency with Git and modern version-control practices.
• Experience working within Agile, multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong ownership of delivery, code quality and continuous improvement.
• Fluent English and the ability to explain technical subjects to technical and non-technical colleagues.

Desirable experience

• Micro frontend and backend-for-frontend architecture.
• Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitoring, observability and production reliability.
• SLIs, SLOs, scalability and fault-tolerant system design.
• Data-informed product development, analytics and A/B testing.
• Search, conversational interfaces or recommendation systems.
• User-engagement or push-notification infrastructure.
• E-commerce, travel technology or online marketplace environments.
• Developing high-traffic products for a large international customer base.

Education

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or another related technical discipline is preferred.
• Equivalent practical engineering experience will also be considered.
