- Own the full life cycle of the pipelines you build: coding, testing, documentation and ongoing support
- Contribute to the underlying infrastructure needed for efficient extraction, transformation and loading from a range of source systems
- Turn pipeline output into business insight, including reporting built in Power BI, and work closely with business, product, data and design stakeholders

- Extensive experience building and tuning large-scale data pipelines, architectures and datasets, across both structured and unstructured sources
- Strong hands-on Scripting experience in Python or PowerShell across both Windows and Linux

This is a hands-on, cross-disciplinary role covering data engineering, application development and infrastructure, focused on building a standardised platform for archiving and searching data from decommissioned systems and regulatory sources. You will design and build ETL pipelines that feed a Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) object store, and help move the business toward a semi-automated on-boarding service for new applications. Strong Python or PowerShell Scripting, a further object-oriented language, and UI development experience (ideally React) are essential.
Key Responsibilities:

- Create a reusable framework that lets decommissioned applications hand off their data in a pre-agreed format so it can be ingested and made searchable

- Experience in application development with: C#, JavaScript or .NET
- Experience in Front End/UI development experience, ideally with React
- Comfortable operating across a complex, multi-stakeholder organisation, with clear written and verbal communication and strong analytical thinking
Desirable:
- Ansible Automation Platform playbooks, MSSQL/Oracle, Hitachi Content Platform, or Solr
