Summary: The role of Full Stack Software Engineer involves working on a high-impact digital transformation project within the National Security sector. The engineer will be responsible for building secure and scalable applications as part of an agile team, supporting critical law enforcement capabilities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Build secure, scalable applications as part of a multidisciplinary agile team.
  • Support mission-critical law enforcement capabilities.
  • Develop frontend applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
  • Implement backend services using Node.js, Express.js, and Azure Function Apps.
  • Utilize DevOps tools and practices, including Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Ensure applications are cloud-native, preferably on Microsoft Azure.
  • Maintain logging and monitoring using Elastic & Kibana.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience in frontend and backend development.
  • Proven delivery of cloud-native applications (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP also considered).
  • Experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and Express.js.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services, including Web Apps and Function Apps.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps.
  • SC Clearance eligibility and UK residency with 5+ years of traceable history.

Full Stack Software Engineer (Contract) £650-£710/day | Bristol (2–3 days on-site) | Inside IR35 SC Clearance required (must be eligible for Enhanced SC)

We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join a high-impact digital transformation project within the National Security space. You'll be building secure, scalable applications as part of a multidisciplinary agile team, supporting mission-critical law enforcement capabilities.

Tech Stack:

  • Frontend: React Next.js TypeScript
  • Backend: Node.js Express.js Azure Function Apps Elasticsearch Cosmos DB
  • DevOps / Cloud / Infrastructure: Microsoft Azure (Web Apps, Function Apps, Kubernetes Service, API Management) Docker Kubernetes & Helm Azure DevOps (Repos, Boards, Pipelines) Bicep (Infrastructure as Code) Authentication via Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) Elastic & Kibana for logging/monitoring
