Summary: The Senior Software Engineer – Client Identity role is part of a newly formed cybersecurity team focused on delivering secure login experiences and protecting clients from cyber threats. The position involves developing cloud-based cybersecurity services, implementing secure authentication solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders to meet business needs. The engineer will also manage deployment and operations across various environments while driving continuous improvement in technical standards. This role is critical in safeguarding the assets of a global financial services client managing over $7 trillion worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance modern cloud-based cybersecurity services across all layers, from database to CDN.
  • Implement secure authentication solutions (MFA, Passkeys, etc.).
  • Integrate with identity providers like Auth0, Transmit Security, and Ping Identity.
  • Build solutions to detect and prevent account takeover attempts by bad actors.
  • Improve the efficiency and resilience of cloud services.
  • Drive continuous improvement of technical standards, tools, and processes.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to transform business needs into technical solutions.
  • Manage deployment and operations across development, testing, and production.

Key Skills:

  • Expertise in Cloud Computing and Cloud Services (preferred: AWS) and in provisioning infrastructure with IaC tools like CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform.
  • Expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript building and consuming web services with node.js; familiarity with NestJS and microservices-based architectures is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs and good understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, networking, and encryption.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies; experience with the scrum framework is preferred.
  • A passion for continuous learning and development, both technically and non-technically.
