Summary: The role is for a C++ Software Engineer focused on developing real-time embedded software for advanced defence and aerospace projects in the UK, specifically the European Common Radar System. The position requires collaboration with systems and hardware engineers and adherence to airborne software design standards. Candidates should have experience in the full software lifecycle and agile methodologies. This is an onsite role with an initial 12-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilise skills in UML modelling and C++ to develop new capabilities and maintain existing features within an IBM Engineering Rhapsody modelling environment.
- Work alongside systems and hardware engineers to deploy software to multi-core or distributed hardware platforms.
- Adhere to airborne software design standard RTCA 178C and coding standards such as MISRA C/C++.
Key Skills:
- Industry experience in the full software lifecycle.
- Current or past industry experience in using C++.
- Experience in Object Oriented Design (OOD) techniques.
- Working and delivering software using agile techniques such as Scrum.
- Familiarity with tooling such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Gitlab.

We are looking for experienced C++ Software Engineers to join our well established software community as the Radar programmes grow and enter a crucial phase, developing complex functionality.
What you'll do as a C++ Software Engineer:
