As a key contributor in an Agile environment, you won't just be coding; you will be the bridge between technical execution and product vision-capturing requirements directly from Product Owners and translating them into high-quality, version-controlled software.

Core Objectives
  • Modernization: Align Legacy applications with our current TypeScript/React baseline and internal standards.

  • Security & Efficiency: Enhance application security protocols and streamline Front End performance.

  • End-to-End Delivery: Manage the full development lifecycle, from requirement capture in JIRA to final stakeholder demos.

  • Agile Leadership: Drive sprint ceremonies and maintain transparency through regular progress demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Audit: Assess and document the current state of existing applications to identify rewrite constraints.

  • Requirement Engineering: Collaborate with Product Owners to define features and break them down into actionable JIRA stories.

  • Development: Execute the re-write of applications using React and TypeScript, ensuring strict adherence to version control and coding standards.

  • Collaboration: Participate in all Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, retrospectives, and planning) and lead demos for stakeholders.

  • Documentation: Ensure all technical documentation is updated to reflect the new architecture and deployment workflows.

Technical Requirements
  • Core Stack: Expert-level proficiency in React and TypeScript.

  • Engineering Excellence: A deep background in software engineering principles (DRY, SOLID, Modular Design).

  • Tooling: Experience with JIRA for task management and Git for version control.

  • Standardization: Proven experience working with "Boilerplate" architectures to ensure consistency across large-scale projects.

  • Process: Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies and the full SDLC.

Mandatory Criteria
  • Security Clearance: You must hold current and active SC Clearance due to the nature of the site and data.

  • On-site Presence: This role requires being on-site 5 days a week at Ipswich. No remote/hybrid options are available for this initial 6-month term.

  • Availability: Immediate start preferred.
