Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and manage distributed backend microservices powering critical third-party integrations.
- Create reliable, event-driven data flows to process partner product updates, availability matrices, and transactional notifications.
- Apply strong distributed systems practices (fault tolerance, retries, rate-limiting, and idempotency) while leveraging metrics and tracing to maintain system health.
- Own the Lifecycle: Take end-to-end technical ownership-from refining specs and coding to testing, safe releases, and live production monitoring.
Essential
- Proven experience engineering high-scale production systems, primarily using Java and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience developing microservices deployed via Kubernetes and AWS environments.
- Strong working knowledge of event-streaming tools like Apache Kafka or comparable messaging backbones.
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design, external integrations, distributed transaction handling, and canonical data models.
- Solid grasp of TDD/automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and active operational telemetry (using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Grafana).
