Summary: The role of Software Development Engineer in Test focuses on overseeing the testing program within the Property & Casualty Insurance sector, requiring a blend of architectural expertise and managerial skills. The candidate will be responsible for integrating scripts within the pipeline and utilizing AI agents to enhance product quality. This position is hybrid, with a requirement to work from the office two days a week in either Portsmouth, NH or Indianapolis, IN. The contract duration is six months, with a potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive the end-to-end testing strategy across multiple workstreams
- Act as the primary point of contact for testing-related discussions with business, development, and vendor teams
- Evaluate risk-based testing approaches
- Identify, escalate, and mitigate risks and issues proactively
- Provide regular status updates to senior leadership
- Prior experience in P&C insurance transformation or modernization programs
- Experience with test management tools like ALM, Jira, or qTest
