Role: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
Location: London (twice per month on site)
Rate: 500-550pd Outside IR35
Length: Initial 6 months

Fruition Consulting are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with C#/.NET experience to work with an innovative tech company that prioritises quality and continuous improvement. As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you'll lead on shaping testing practices and drive the development of robust software solutions in a collaborative environment.

SDET Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Execute automated and exploratory testing, with a focus on APIs and headless services.
• Test distributed microservices, ensuring effective communication through message buses and other integrations.
• Foster a culture of quality by coaching team members and advocating for best testing practices.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to enhance software testability and overall quality.

SDET Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of C#, with at least 2 years' experience in an SDET role.
• Expertise in automation testing methodologies, particularly BDD and TDD.
• Familiarity with software development principles (SOLID, DRY) and design for testability.
• Proven experience in testing complex end-to-end systems with multiple interfaces and components.
• Understanding of CI/CD best practices and risk-based testing approaches.
• Excellent communication skills and effective time management.
