Summary: Our client is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with extensive Java coding experience to join their Tech team. The role involves building automation platforms and frameworks, with a hybrid working arrangement in London. Candidates must have an active SC clearance and the position is classified as inside IR35. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automation platforms and frameworks.
- Conduct unit testing using Junit.
- Perform API testing with coded frameworks and Postman.
- Utilize Gitlab and Git for version control.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Apply TDD/BDD methodologies with Cucumber.
- Collaborate using Jira and Confluence.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an SDET.
- Strong knowledge of OOP and SOLID principles.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks, particularly Junit.
- Familiarity with API testing and debugging tools like Postman.
- Proficient in Gitlab and Git.
- Experience with SonarQube.
- Knowledge of Jenkins for CI/CD.
- Experience with Cucumber for TDD/BDD.
- Wiremock experience is a plus.
- Proficient in using Jira and Confluence.
