Summary: We are looking for a skilled Software Developer with .Net expertise to join an engineering team focused on enhancing workflows for Thermofluids Engineering and IT. The role involves developing scalable applications, APIs, and data systems within the Microsoft ecosystem. The position is a 9-month contract and is classified as inside IR35. The developer will work closely with stakeholders to translate engineering workflows into software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test software solutions using .NET technologies.
  • Work with Thermofluids Engineering stakeholders to understand workflows and translate them into software requirements.
  • Build and maintain REST APIs and microservices using .NET frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain database-backed applications.
  • Deploy services using cloud-native infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

Key Skills:

  • Modern software development using C# and the .NET ecosystem.
  • Development of web applications and services.
  • Working with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with data storage formats such as Parquet.
  • Knowledge of RUST is a bonus.
  • Data visualisation tools such as Plotly, Metabase, or Superset.
  • Experience integrating software with engineering tools such as MATLAB.
