Summary: The Software Control Engineer role involves developing software functionality using MATLAB/Simulink for industrial engines, focusing on verification and validation of engine control features. The position requires troubleshooting electronics/control system issues and integrating subsystem software. The engineer will also develop test cases for Hardware in the Loop (HIL) systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop software functionality implemented in models using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Develop test cases to enable feature testing on Hardware in the Loop (HIL) system.
- Verify and validate engine control features as part of the development process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electronics/control system issues encountered during build and test of engine software.
- Integrate, configure, and compile subsystem software.
Key Skills:
- Proven MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow experience in complex embedded programming and debugging.
- Knowledge of vehicle/machine/engine control systems.
- Experience in development processes for real-time control systems, including software version control systems.
