Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a complex caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans, Child in Need Plans, and court proceedings
- Undertake high-quality statutory assessments, Section 47 enquiries, and risk assessments
- Complete clear, analytical reports for court and multi-agency meetings
- Chair and contribute effectively to strategy meetings, child protection conferences, and core groups
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory requirements
Key Skills:
- Qualified Social Worker (Social Work degree or equivalent)
- Registered with Social Work England
- Minimum 2 years post-qualified experience within statutory children’s services
- Strong experience in child protection and safeguarding
- Sound knowledge of UK child protection legislation, statutory guidance, and court processes
- Excellent assessment, analytical, and communication skills
