Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with health professionals, police, education staff, and other key agencies to ensure a coordinated response.
  • Accurately record all decisions and actions using case management systems.
  • Where appropriate, prepare and pass cases on to longer-term teams or escalate for further action.
  • Participate in duty rota and contribute to a supportive team environment.

Key Skills:

  • Degree in Social Work (or equivalent qualification such as DipSW, CQSW).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Recent frontline experience in children's services, particularly in a duty, MASH, or safeguarding context.
  • Strong understanding of child protection legislation, thresholds, and procedures.
  • Confidence in making autonomous decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and recording skills.
  • Enhanced DBS check (must be current or obtained prior to start).
