Summary: Herefordshire Council is seeking two experienced Social Workers for their Assessment Team to provide child-focused interventions and assessments for children and families. Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake high-quality assessments and investigations to inform timely decisions
• Respond to referrals to ensure appropriate support for children and their families
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to develop robust safeguarding plans
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records and reports
• Manage a complex caseload with confidence and clarity
• Actively participate in reflective supervision and ongoing professional development

Key Skills:

• Qualified Social Worker (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent)
• Registered with Social Work England
• Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualified experience in statutory children’s services
• Strong assessment, analysis, and communication skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting positive outcomes
