Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out detailed audits of children’s social care and youth justice practice
- Review casework to ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and best practice standards
- Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to frontline teams and managers
- Support service improvement initiatives and quality assurance frameworks
- Promote reflective practice and continuous professional development
- Identify themes, trends, and areas requiring improvement through audit activity
- Produce clear and accurate audit reports and performance information
- Work collaboratively with managers to improve outcomes for children and young people
- Support the development of a positive learning culture across the service
Key Skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration
- Significant frontline experience within Children’s Social Care and/or Youth Justice
- Previous experience undertaking quality assurance audits and case reviews
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, legislation, and statutory frameworks
- Experience supporting or supervising practitioners within social care services
- Excellent written communication, analytical, and report-writing skills
- Ability to influence, coach, and support professional development
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
