Key Responsibilities:

Following a successful contract win in late 2023 from one of the UK’s largest and most trusted financial service providers, we will provide both contact centre and administrative solutions to help assist its 25 million customers. Specifically, we will be supporting the end-to-end customer journey, right from the moment they are looking to open an account with the provider, to the time they need to get in touch to make any amendments or close an account. Whatever the type of query, we will be there to assist them in whatever way we can; either online, by phone or by post and in doing so, delivering the best experience we can.
As a member of the account team, you’ll support developing a culture that is both customer and outcome obsessed, by motivating, supporting, coaching, and leading teams to exceed, rather than meet expectations in all they do. Furthermore, as a strategic supplier to UK Government, Sopra Steria is at the forefront of social value delivery and our dedicated Social Value Manager for this service will help ensure that we work together on new initiatives and meet our commitments to providing fair and decent work, environmental stewardship, maximising the potential of our supply chain and driving diversity, equality and inclusion.
The role will require you to work in a hybrid-variable way of working, being accessible to internal and external stakeholders, as and when required.
What you will be doing:
- You’ll play a key role in overseeing and delivering the commitments we have made to the client on behalf of the Account Director, working within the Partnership & Collaboration function, working with the leadership team and wider business to promote, establish and improve the following:
- Economic Sustainability – with a key focus on supply chain
- Environmental Sustainability – with a key focus on environmental footprint, impact assessment and progress to net zero
- Equal Opportunity – with a target of achieving disability confident level 3
- Social Sustainability and Workplace – focusing on Great Place to Work, Real living wage, Real living hours and financial well-being
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders supporting the design of Social Value Strategy, development and implementation of Social Value plans aligned with Client commitments.
- Lead Social Value, managing and monitoring our contractual commitments, chairing the quarterly Social Value Forum, developing governance, processes, and reporting.
- Leading on internal and external stakeholder engagement to drive collaborative working practices and communicating progress status to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborating with communities and partners to execute on Social Value Strategy and Plan.
- Establish and create a network of Social Value champions to drive the Social Value agenda and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Deliver training and awareness programs on social value to embed capability throughout SSL, across operational delivery disciplines and teams, and the client service organisation.
- With a focus on Economic Sustainability promote diversity, security and resilience across the supply chain.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience leading the social value agenda.
- Demonstrable experience of managing a diverse range of internal stakeholders (procurement, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, environmental sustainability) in addition to building and maintaining strong relationships with key external stakeholders and external partners.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Highly analytical with the ability to process and summarise large volumes of complex data from multiple sources and present it in an insightful and compelling way that enables decision making.
- Strong customer experience focus.
- Proactive mindset. Go above and beyond to serve as a trusted adviser for your stakeholders and Clients.
It would be great if you had:
- Familiarity or experience in social value measurement/Target Operating Models frameworks.
- Experience leading delivery in line with the Governments Social Value Model.
- Qualifications/training in carbon/energy management.
- Experience in managing volunteering initiatives.
