Summary: The SOC Apprentice role at NCC Group is a hybrid position based in Manchester, focusing on first-line support for client communications within the Security Operations Centre (SOC). The apprentice will manage inbound emails and tickets, ensuring timely logging, prioritization, and routing of incidents while adhering to service level agreements (SLAs). The role includes completing a Cyber Security Level 4 apprenticeship to develop foundational IT and cyber security skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all client communications, managing inbound emails and tickets.
  • Log and document client interactions and incidents in the SOC’s ticketing system (SNOW).
  • Collaborate with internal SOC teams to assign tickets and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) by tracking ticket resolution timeframes.
  • Assist with incident response coordination and maintain communication with clients regarding their requests.
  • Support the SOC team with ad-hoc operational tasks and participate in special projects.
