Summary: The Senior Business Analyst role at Harvey Nash focuses on supporting the development of a client's Data Strategy and reviewing its existing Data Platform. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of the client's Data Strategy and review the existing Data Platform.
  • Develop choices/options for the Data approach.
  • Design onboarding of new data sets for the data platform.
  • Implement a new data governance framework as part of the Data Strategy.
  • Translate customer needs into data logic (measures/dimensions/attributes).
  • Engage with stakeholders from a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Develop business needs and use cases for the data platform.
  • Conduct options analysis with a Solution Architect and Product Lead.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in Big Data and Data Warehousing.
  • Basic data analyst experience.
  • Understanding of data platform structures, data models, and schemas.

Harvey Nash are now inviting candidates to apply for the role of Senior Business Analyst, candidates applying must have a strong background in working with Big Data and Data Warehousing.

Initial 3 month contract

Hybrid to the Newcastle location

£400 - £450 - inside of IR35

Support the development of our clients Data Strategy and a review of its existing Data Platform. Key aspects will include:

  • The development of choices/options for the Data approach.
  • Design onboarding of new data sets for the data platform to aid the scaling of a new public service.
  • As part of the Data Strategy the team will be implementing a new data governance framework.

We are looking for someone with Big Data / Data warehouse experience in particular:

  • Experience of translating customer needs into data logic (measures / dimensions / attributes).
  • Have basic data analyst experience.
  • Understand the basics of data platform structures, data models, and schemas.
  • Understand data consumption tooling.
  • Requirements elicitation in a strategic setting to shape direction and remove ambiguity.
  • Stakeholder engagement with a wider multi-disciplinary team from different functions.
  • Development of business needs and use cases to frame the capabilities required for a to-be data platform.
  • Options analysis working with a Solution Architect and Product Lead.
