Summary: The role of Snowflake Developer involves designing, developing, and optimizing Snowflake-based solutions within a leading Asset Manager's data infrastructure. The candidate will utilize Microsoft Azure technologies, including Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL, to create data pipelines and reporting solutions. Experience with Aladdin Data Cloud is a plus but not essential. The position requires a strong background in data engineering and business intelligence tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Azure-based data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure SQL for financial data integration and processing.
  • Design and optimize data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and queries within Snowflake for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Integrate large-scale financial datasets from various internal systems and third-party providers into Snowflake.
  • Develop data visualization solutions using Power BI or QlikView for stakeholder insights.
  • Perform query optimization, clustering, and indexing within Azure SQL and Snowflake to enhance data processing performance.
  • Implement Azure Functions where applicable to automate data transformation and workflow processes.

Key Skills:

  • Strong expertise in Snowflake, including SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure SQL.
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI or QlikView.
  • Proficiency in Python for data transformation and pipeline development.
  • Experience in Asset Management or Financial Services is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Aladdin Data Cloud (ADC) is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Understanding of cloud security, access controls, and data governance in an Azure and Snowflake environment.
