Summary: The role of Snowflake Engineer involves designing business processes tailored to customer needs, strategizing cloud architecture, and overseeing data migration within a Telecoms client environment. This position requires collaboration with clients and stakeholders to ensure compliance and optimal performance of data solutions. The contract is initially for three months and operates under a hybrid working model. The role is classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather and understand technical and business requirements.
• Assess various technologies and tools to recommend suitable solutions for projects.
• Ensure data warehouse implementation complies with internal and external regulations.
• Prepare accurate data warehouse design reports for management.
• Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.
• Monitor system performance through regular tests and troubleshooting.
• Document data flows in and between different systems/applications.
• Act as a data domain expert for Snowflake, providing understanding of data management best practices.
• Implement cloud-based enterprise data warehouse solutions with Snowflake.
• Collaborate with project managers and developers to guide development processes.
• Respond to system problems in a timely manner.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with expertise in Snowflake.
• In-depth knowledge of Snowflake features and functionalities.
• Understanding of data security, encryption, and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integration tools.
• Experience in data migration to Snowflake cloud data warehouse.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and communication abilities.
• Relevant certifications in Snowflake or related fields are a plus.
• Experience in Telecom and Fibre domain is advantageous.
