Summary: The Snowflake Data Engineer role requires a professional with over 5 years of experience in Snowflake to design and implement data solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Designing business processes as per customer needs.
- Creating high-level and low-level design documents in collaboration with senior architects for COTS solutions.
- Performing functionality analysis and designing solutions around customizations.
- Driving proposal pitches regarding functional implementation of COTS products.
- Designing and enabling the build of cloud data platforms on products like Snowflake.
- Gathering and understanding technical and business requirements from clients and stakeholders.
- Recommending suitable technologies and tools for projects.
- Ensuring compliance of data warehouse implementation procedures.
- Preparing data warehouse design and architecture reports.
- Overseeing data migration from legacy systems to new solutions.
- Monitoring system performance and integrating new features.
- Recommending improvements for data warehouse solutions.
- Documenting data flows between systems/applications.
- Acting as a data domain expert for Snowflake.
- Implementing cloud-based enterprise data warehouse solutions.
- Collaborating with project managers and developers on development processes.
- Leading project requirements for end-to-end data integration processes.
- Updating modeling principles and best practices for Snowflake.
- Guiding developers in preparing functional/technical specifications.
- Educating staff members through training and support.
- Responding to system problems in a timely manner.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of experience with Snowflake.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with expertise in data solutions on Snowflake.
- In-depth knowledge of Snowflake's architecture and features.
- Understanding of data security, encryption, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with data integration solutions and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in data migration to Snowflake cloud data warehouse.
- Experience with code repositories and CI/CD processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and communication abilities.
- Relevant certifications in Snowflake or related fields are a plus.
