Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support the migration of enterprise data from SQL Server to Snowflake on AWS.
  • Develop and manage data integration processes to consolidate data from multiple source systems into Snowflake, ensuring high levels of data quality, consistency, and reliability.
  • Optimise Snowflake performance by improving query execution, data loading processes, storage efficiency, and overall platform performance.
  • Implement data security best practices, including encryption, access controls, governance, and compliance with organisational and regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and data scientists to understand data requirements and deliver robust cloud-based data solutions.
  • Lead and support on-premise to cloud migration initiatives, collaborating with the Global Data Engineering Lead to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Evaluate new cloud technologies, tools, and best practices to continuously improve the data platform.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures to support ongoing platform management and knowledge sharing.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake.
  • Hands-on experience designing and developing ETL/ELT data pipelines.
  • Strong experience migrating data from SQL Server to Snowflake within AWS cloud environments.
  • Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems into a centralised cloud data platform.
  • Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer to join a growing Data Engineering team responsible for designing and delivering modern cloud-based data platforms. This role will play a key part in migrating enterprise data from on-premise SQL Server environments to Snowflake on AWS, building scalable data pipelines, optimising platform performance, and enabling advanced analytics across the organisation.

Working closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Analysts, and business stakeholders, you'll help build secure, high-performing, and future-ready cloud data solutions.
