Summary: The role of Contract SMT Process Engineer involves joining a busy electronics manufacturing business for an initial 6-month contract, focusing on Surface Mount Technology (SMT) processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise in SMT/Surface Mount processes from design through to production.
- Engage in hands-on activities with PCBA assembly, reflow ovens, and wave soldering.
- Utilize pick & place machines, screen printers, and reflow profiling.
- Source, commission, and improve manufacturing equipment.
- Support existing processes in a busy manufacturing environment.

Our client is a busy electronics manufacturing business looking for an experienced Surface Mount/SMT Process Engineer to join their team for an initial 6 month contract. This is an urgent requirement, with interviews happening quickly.
Location: Onsite in Burgess Hill (option to work hours in 4 days)
Contract length: 6 month initial contract, extendable or contract-to-perm
Experienced required:
- A Process Engineer with strong SMT/Surface Mount expertise, from design through to production
- Hands-on with PCBA assembly, reflow ovens, and wave soldering

- A Process Engineer confident in sourcing, commissioning, and improving manufacturing equipment
