Summary: The role of Financial Crime Policy SME involves overseeing the development and coordination of financial crime policies within a large-scale transformation project. The candidate must have extensive experience in writing financial crime policies, particularly in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and related disciplines. This position requires collaboration across various workstreams to ensure timely publication and alignment with regulatory standards. The contract duration is six months, emphasizing the need for a subject matter expert in financial crime policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure deliverables across a large-scale transformation project are completed across different workstreams.
  • Coordinate publication timescales across all Financial Crime disciplines (AML, Sanctions, ABC, etc.).
  • Provide SME input on AML Policy content and review documents produced by the Policy Workstream.
  • Support alignment to the AML Policy by inputting into other project workstreams (e.g., screening, CDD, exits, risk appetite, ID&V, Transaction Monitoring, Intelligence, People, Governance & MI, etc.).

Key Skills:

  • Experience in interpreting and drafting Anti-Money Laundering Policies.
  • Understanding of risk management and the AML regulatory environment in the UK.
  • Experience in Customer due diligence, screening, and transaction monitoring policies.
