Summary: The Smart Meter Business Analyst role involves working with a leading UK-based Utilities company on a 6-month contract, focusing on Smart Metering projects. The position requires collaboration with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into functional specifications. The role is primarily remote with occasional travel to West London and is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their objectives, challenges, and strategic needs, particularly in relation to Smart Metering.
  • Elicit, document, and analyse business requirements, workflows, and end-to-end processes, ensuring alignment with operational and regulatory goals.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, structured, and concise functional specifications to facilitate effective communication with technical and delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams to design and validate solutions that meet business needs and comply with industry best practices.
  • Provide insight and expertise on AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure)/Head-End Systems/Communication Networks/MDM Meter Data Management.

  • Solid Business Analyst craft skills with strong experience in Utilities Smart Metering processes and solutions.
  • Expertise in eliciting, analysing, prioritising, and validating business requirements to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Proven ability to manage and build strong relationships with stakeholders, demonstrating excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong aptitude for rapidly absorbing new information and applying it effectively within complex project environments.
  • Extensive experience in leading and facilitating project meetings and workshops, ensuring clear communication and successful collaboration across teams.
  • Skilled in producing high-quality documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), Business Process Flows, and Data Flow Diagrams.
