The Role
- Deliver engaging lessons in Essential Skills Wales and learner development programmes.
- Support learners to develop literacy, numeracy, digital and employability skills.
- Monitor learner progress and provide effective feedback and intervention.
- Facilitate workshops that improve study skills, resilience and independent learning.
- Provide high-quality classroom cover during staff absences.
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain an inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams to support learner achievement and progression.
The Ideal Candidate
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, QTS or equivalent).
- Hold a degree or equivalent qualification.
- Have experience delivering English, Maths, Functional Skills, Essential Skills, Welsh Baccalaureate or similar programmes.
- Be confident managing groups of learners and delivering pre-planned lessons.
- Have strong communication, organisation and IT skills.
- Be passionate about supporting learners of all abilities to succeed.
- Experience within Further Education, Sixth Form or Secondary education is desirable.
