Summary: The Technical Site Engineer (Supervisor) role involves overseeing the installation and management of mechanical and electrical systems in varied industrial environments, particularly within the energy sector. The position requires strong leadership skills to manage on-site teams and contractors while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The role is outside IR35 and offers a competitive day rate. The successful candidate will start as soon as possible and will be responsible for coordinating installations with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and work from complex mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Design and install mechanical, low-voltage electrical, IT, and network equipment.
- Manage third-party contractors and site-based teams.
- Ensure high attention to detail and maintain strong documentation.
- Lead and supervise on-site engineers and third parties.
- Coordinate installations with multiple on-site stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with site health & safety controls and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize operational technologies effectively.
Key Skills:
- Hands-on experience in industrial environments (e.g., substations).
- Experience in the energy and renewable energy sectors, ideally in Scotland.
- Relevant technical qualifications in IT, networking, or mechanical/electrical engineering (e.g., HNC/HND, City & Guilds, vendor certifications).
- IOSH Managing Safely, CSCS, CCNSG, or equivalent certifications.
- Ability to obtain government security clearance.
- Full UK Driving License.
