Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) contractors are engaged to build and operate the systems and practices that ensure production services are reliable, scalable, and performant, applying software engineering principles to the operational challenges of running production systems at scale. SRE emerged at Google as a discipline that bridges software development and IT operations, and has since been adopted widely across technology companies and digitally advanced organisations.
