What you'll do:

  • Design, build, test, and deliver software enhancements while promoting a DevOps culture, contributing across the development lifecycle to ensure reliability, scalability, and operational stability.
  • Troubleshoot issues, manage incidents, communicate with stakeholders, lead blameless post-mortems, and drive long-term corrective actions.
  • Define and monitor application analytics to support improved service-level objectives, product observability and telemetry and modernization efforts.
  • Follow change-management and release processes while accelerate automation.
  • Run resiliency management planning, scheduling and execution of disaster recovery tests, aiming to automate where possible.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and SRE teams to streamline systems and support on-call production outside regular hours.

What You Bring:

  • Proficient in Python, Unix Shell scripting, and SQL, with experience in relational and non-relational databases.
  • Experience with development tools: source code control software, automated build, automated testing and JIRA, build automation, test-driven development, and CI/CD
  • Experience with at least one public cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Understanding of SRE practices (SLO/SLI/SLA, error budgets) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience managing large-scale application/system configurations (thousands of nodes).
  • Familiarity with declarative frameworks (Puppet, Terraform).
  • Strong programming and software design skills, preferably in Python, with knowledge of APIs, security, authentication, data structures, and principles like DDD, SOLID, and GRASP.
  • Familiarity with modern architectures and tools, including microservices, REST API development, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD integration.
