Summary: The Site Manager/Senior Site Manager is responsible for overseeing building projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet safety, environmental, and quality standards while delivering value for money. This role involves coordinating site activities, managing health and safety compliance, and liaising with various stakeholders throughout the construction process. Additionally, the position includes responsibilities for repairs and maintenance of existing properties and may require taking on additional duties as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and organizational skills, along with relevant construction management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for delivering successful building projects from start to finish.
- Liaison with construction management and other departments for site mobilization.
- Overseeing site set up and establishment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinating site activities and managing resources effectively.
- Ensuring all site personnel are qualified and that works comply with regulations.
- Maintaining up-to-date site paperwork related to health and safety and construction management.
- Managing site works in line with the construction programme.
- Liaising with regulators and managing subcontractors on site.
- Assisting with the completion of the Health and Safety File and obtaining regulatory approvals.
- Including repairs and maintenance of existing homes and properties.
Key Skills:
- Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
- Valid CSCS Card (Site Manager).
- Experience in site management on construction sites.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations and building codes.
- Proficiency in MS Office software, particularly Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Resilience and a proactive attitude.
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety (desirable).
- HND in Building Surveying or related field (desirable).
- Experience in care home or residential building (desirable).
- Familiarity with modern mechanical and electrical installations (desirable).
