Responsibilities
- Manage daily site construction activity
- Lead and coordinate subcontractors and site teams
- Monitor progress against the construction programme
- Manage site resources and upcoming works
- Maintain strong HSE standards
- Monitor construction quality and compliance
- Review drawings, specifications and site documentation
- Manage defects and corrective actions
- Coordinate with project management and engineering teams
- Support commissioning and final project handover
Essential experience
- Strong recent utility-scale ground-mounted Solar PV experience
- Previous Site Manager experience
- Proven subcontractor management capability
- Civil, Electrical or Mechanical construction/engineering background
- Strong understanding of site HSE and quality requirements
- UK driving licence
Qualifications / certifications
- SMSTS
- Black CSCS or Black ECS Card
- 3-day First Aid certification
- NVQ Level 6+ in Construction Management or relevant engineering discipline preferred
- Strong candidates actively progressing towards NVQ Level 6 / Black Card may also be considered.
- TWC / Temporary Works Coordinator experience would be advantageous.
- Civil construction experience would be particularly valuable, especially across roads, drainage, foundations, structures and enabling works.
