About the Role of Site Manager
As Site Manager, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of a commercial fit-out project in Berkshire. Working as No1 on site, you will be reporting back to a visiting Project Manager you will be responsible for managing subcontractors, maintaining programme targets, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the build.
Responsibilities for Site Manager
- Managing day-to-day site operations and subcontractor activities
- Ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to specification
- Monitoring programme progress and reporting updates to senior management
- Coordinating and managing multiple trades across different work areas
- Conducting quality inspections and snagging reviews
- Reviewing RAMS and maintaining Health & Safety compliance on site
- Attending progress meetings and liaising with clients and consultants
- Managing materials, logistics, and workforce requirements
Requirements for Site Manager
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial fit-out projects
- Strong knowledge of CAT A and CAT B fit-out delivery
- SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid qualification required
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain programme targets
- Strong understanding of quality assurance and Health & Safety procedures
