Your new role
Site Manager / Clerk of Works to oversee a programme of refurbishment works across MOD accommodation and associated built estate.
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the works.
Your role will be to oversee and assure their delivery, ensuring works are being completed safely, to the required quality, in line with the programme and with all necessary documentation in place.
Projects will include internal refurbishments, replacement doors and windows, new roofing and associated property improvement works, often within occupied environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and assure the performance of appointed contractors
- Monitor works against agreed quality, safety and programme requirements
- Regularly inspect works to ensure the required standards are being achieved
- Review and process a high volume of site documentation
- Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) prior to work.
- Monitor compliance with approved Method Statements and Safe Systems of Work
- Carry out site inspections, audits and safety checks
- Identify quality issues, defects or non-compliant works and ensure these are addressed
- Monitor progress against the programme and highlight potential delays or concerns
- Ensure appropriate site records, permits and compliance documentation are maintained
- Oversee Health & Safety standards and contractor compliance
- Monitor Temporary Works requirements where applicable
- Liaise professionally with occupants and other stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
- A strong eye for detail who is proactive, organised and comfortable challenging contractors where standards are not being met.
- CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid
- BPSS Clearance
