Site Manager

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the industrial groundworks package, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.

You'll manage site teams, subcontractors, materials and day-to-day site activities while working closely with the wider project team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of the groundworks package.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors and labour.
• Coordinate labour, plant and materials.
• Maintain high Health & Safety standards across site.
• Monitor programme and progress.
• Liaise with engineers, subcontractors and the wider project team.
• Ensure works are delivered to the required quality standards.
• Resolve site issues and maintain programme.
• Manage site paperwork and reporting requirements.

Scope of Works

The project involves a standard industrial groundworks package, including enabling works, earthworks, piling, foundations, RC slabs and associated concrete, drainage and external works.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Manager within groundworks.
• Strong background working for a groundworks subcontractor.
• Industrial groundworks experience, ideally on RC frame projects.
• SMSTS – Essential.
• Gold CSCS Card – Essential.
• First Aid at Work – Desirable.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
