Site Manager

Summary: The Overall Site Manager will oversee a Solar/BESS project in the South of England, ensuring effective management of site activities and personnel. This role requires strong leadership in maintaining project standards and compliance with health and safety regulations. The position offers an hourly rate between £45.00 and £50.00, with an immediate start and a duration of 9 months. Occasional travel to other UK projects is expected.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily site activities for renewable energy projects.
• Manage site personnel and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project plans, health & safety, and quality standards.
• Liaise with project and construction managers to align site progress with programme milestones.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.
• Lead toolbox talks and ensure RAMS are implemented effectively.
• Interface with the client and attend progress meetings.
• Ensure compliance with CDM, company HSEQ standards, and statutory regulations.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager on Renewable Energy projects including Solar, Battery Storage, Peaking Plants etc.
• SMSTS qualification (essential).
• ECS/CSCS card (essential).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (preferred).
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
• Strong understanding of health & safety and QA/QC procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
