Key Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for daily site operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery
- Lead and manage subcontractors delivering cladding, insulation, SFS, and external wall system packages
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate works to maintain programme control
- Conduct daily briefings, progress reviews, and site walk-arounds
- Ensure compliance with building safety and fire-remediation regulations
- Monitor QA, inspect installations, and manage snagging
- Manage RAMS, permits, site documentation, and reporting to the Project Director
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and design teams
- Identify risks, issues, and delays early, implementing corrective actions
- Promote a strong safety culture and industry best practice
Key Skills:
- Strong background in cladding, façade, or external wall system packages, ideally on high-rise or complex refurbishment projects
- Experience working for or closely with specialist subcontractors
- Proven ability to take ownership of a site with minimal supervision
- Solid knowledge of re-cladding methodologies, fire safety, and façade compliance
- SMSTS, CSCS (Manager level), and First Aid – essential
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and temporary works interfaces

We are supporting a major long-term re-cladding programme in Cardiff and are seeking an experienced Site Manager / Project Manager with a strong background working for subcontractors on construction, cladding, façade, and external wall system packages. This is an excellent opportunity to join a Tier 1 main contractor delivering a high-profile, safety-critical refurbishment project. The Project Director oversees multiple schemes, so we are looking for someone who can take full ownership of the site day to day, acting as the driving force behind delivery, coordination, and progress.
