Site Engineer - Structures and Highways

Carmichael UK is proud to be working with a Tier 1 contractor on the HS2 project in Buckinghamshire, and we are looking to recruit an experienced Site Engineer with a strong background in structures and highways.

Location: Buckinghamshire (HS2)

The Role

As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering critical infrastructure on one of the UK s largest construction projects. You will be responsible for setting out, quality assurance, and supporting site operations across structures and highways works.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out for structures and highways works (foundations, reinforced concrete, drainage, roadworks)
• Ensuring works are carried out in line with design drawings and specifications
• Managing QA processes, ITPs and as-built records
• Supporting site management with daily site operations
• Liaising with subcontractors and site teams to ensure programme delivery
• Maintaining high levels of health & safety on site

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on major infrastructure projects
• Strong background in structures and highways
• Experience working with Tier 1 contractors (HS2 experience desirable)
• Competent with setting out equipment (GPS, Total Station)
• Good understanding of QA processes and site documentation
• Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering
