Summary: The Site Engineer will oversee groundworks for a £25 million industrial unit project in Rugeley for a duration of 2-3 months. Responsibilities include setting out for various structural elements, managing subcontractors, and ensuring quality control throughout the construction process. Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out and quality checks for structural steelwork, drainage works, underpinning, earthworks and excavations, groundworks
- Check setting out information
- Establish primary and secondary dimensional control
- Check and record control points
- Complete Permit to Load/Strike
- Requisition materials for in situ concrete works and obtain approvals
- Supervise concrete deliveries inc pre and post-pour Inspections
- Maintain site diary inc maintaining good housekeeping on site
- Manage and co-ordinate construction of all structural elements
- Set out and maintain structural accuracy and main and internal gridlines inc levels
- Implement the Project Management Plan, engineering procedures and practices
- Ensure that appropriate quality records are being produced
- Understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Compilation of as-built drawings and create construction drawings for information
- Experience with AutoCad and Total Station
- Compilation of QA sheets for sub and super structural elements
- Advise on buildability issues as required
- Assist to prepare scope of works and reports as required
- Carry out site surveys, levelling and setting out
- Working out cut and fill quantities.
- Managing subcontractors, Cut and Fill /Groundworker/RC /Steel inc checking setting out of subcontractor
Key Skills:
- Experience with AutoCad and Total Station
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills
- Experience in managing subcontractors
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes
- Ability to carry out site surveys and levelling
- Proficient in setting out and maintaining structural accuracy
