Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engineering and setting-out activities across earthworks, civils, roadworks and service installations.
- Carry out accurate setting out and surveying, working from engineering drawings and specifications.
- Support and mentor junior Site Engineers, ensuring high standards of engineering and site delivery.
- Manage Permit-to-Dig activities, including CAT & Genny use and safe excavation practices.
- Review drawings, identify issues and raise Technical Queries/Field Change Requests where required.
- Assist with QA processes, inspections, NCRs and maintaining quality records.
- Produce and manage 3-4 week look-ahead programmes, coordinating labour, plant and materials.
- Maintain accurate site diaries and engineering records.
- Work closely with the wider site team to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.
About You
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on major civils/infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience in earthworks, associated civils and roadworks.
- Confident with setting out, surveying and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Experience with Permit-to-Dig and CAT & Genny.
- Good understanding of QA, ITPs, inspections and NCRs.
- Experience with short-term planning and look-ahead programmes.
- SMSTS and CAT & Genny training desirable/required.
- Relevant engineering qualification such as HNC/HND or degree.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor engineers and work effectively with site teams and subcontractors.
