Carmichael UK are recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways scheme in Staffordshire, working with a leading Tier 1 contractor.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a significant highways project, supporting site operations during a critical phase of the works.
Initially this position is working nights through September and October
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out for highways works
- Basic surveying activities
- Site measurements and accurate record keeping
- Holding and issuing permits, including:
- Permit to Dig
- Hot Works Permits
- Scanning and identification of underground services
- Supporting safe digging operations in line with project procedures
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification
Requirements: Experience with:
- Setting out
- Surveying
- Permit systems
- Utility detection and service avoidance
- Safe excavation practices

EUSR 1 & 2
SSSTS
CSCS Card
- Highways Passport preferred but not essential
