Summary: The Site Engineer role in Teesside involves hands-on coordination and technical support for a major energy infrastructure project. The position requires ensuring construction activities are executed safely and efficiently while adhering to specifications. The engineer will also be responsible for producing technical drawings and managing documentation. This role is integral to the successful delivery of critical infrastructure projects in the utility and social sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Checks dimension design data early, raising technical queries to eliminate delays from insufficient information
  • Setting out civil works via the use of GPS, total station co-ordinates
  • Produce traffic management drawings (site route maps) and basic layout drawings
  • Liaise with engineering team in the production of technical drawings
  • To procure and deliver setting out information on site / undertake surveys
  • Provide technical advice/assistance where required
  • Collate, update and file documents electronically onto the main server
  • To adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative systems
  • To comply with health and safety legislation, policies and procedures in the performance of the duties of the post
  • To maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate
  • Behave in a professional and appropriate manner
  • Responsible for the safety, quality, productivity and accuracy of their own work
  • Be punctual, polite & respectful at all times
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Project Engineer

Key Skills:

  • HNC or HND in an engineering discipline such as design, mechanical or civil
  • Computer literate and confident with digital technology
  • Knowledgeable in MicroStation/AutoCAD
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Experience in 3D scanning, point cloud and Building Information Management systems (BIM)
  • Experience in the coordination of civil/structural works and completion of construction activities
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Job DescriptionThe RoleWe are seeking a Site Engineer to join our on-site delivery team, supporting the successful execution of all works on this major energy infrastructure project. The role will involve hands-on coordination, quality assurance, and technical support to ensure that all construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.

QualificationsCompetencies: Knowledge & ExperienceHNC or an HND in an engineering discipline such as design, mechanical or civil. Successful A-Levels in one of the engineering disciplines mentioned may also be consideredMust be computer literate and confident generally with digital technology, knowledgeable in MicroStation/AutoCAD would be a distinct advantageMust be able to use Microsoft Office products at a good levelExperience in 3D scanning, point cloud and Building Information Management systems (BIM) would be highly advantageous.Experience in the coordination of the civil/structural works, and completion of construction activities would be highly advantageous.Full UK Driving Licence.
