Summary: The Mechanical Site Supervisor will oversee piping construction activities at a leading Energy from Waste site in Leeds, ensuring compliance with safety and project specifications. This role involves coordinating crews, preparing Bills of Materials, and conducting site inspections. The position is contract-based with an immediate start and requires experience in the Energy from Waste sector. The role is classified as outside IR35 with a competitive day rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise piping construction activities during day and night shifts to ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and drawings.
- Coordinate piping crews and subcontractors to meet daily and weekly work targets.
- Develop and prepare Bills of Materials (BoM) required for snag rectification and outstanding works.
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, and construction teams to resolve technical issues and discrepancies.
- Conduct site inspections and participate in walkdowns with clients and third-party inspectors as required.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements and always promote safe working practices.
Key Skills:
- Experience in working on an EFW (Energy from Waste) plant in construction/handover.
- Site Supervisor experience with experience in mechanical snagging closures.
