As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled Sicon Software Expert with project accounting experience to join our finance team.What we are looking for? The Sicon Software Expert with Project Accounting Experience will play a critical role in optimising the use of Sicon software for financial reporting, project accounting, and cost management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Sicon software (along with a knowledge of Sage 200), combined with hands-on experience in project accounting within the construction industry. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, financial acumen, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to ensure the successful financial management of our projects.Key ResponsibilitiesSicon Software Management: Serve as the in-house expert on Sicon software, Working with the Finance Manager to enhance the overall management, maintenance, and optimisation of the system.Customise and configure Sicon to meet the specific needs of the company's project accounting and financial reporting.Provide ongoing training and support to staff to ensure effective use of Sicon software.Project Accounting:Working with various stakeholders to improve of project accounting, including cost tracking, revenue recognition, and Work in Progress (WIP) reporting.Collaborate with project managers and the finance team to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting of all projects.Analyse project financial performance and provide insights to support decision-making and financial forecastingProcess Improvement:Lead initiatives to enhance the integration and functionality of Sicon software in project accounting.Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to Sicon software and construction project accounting.Compliance & Controls:Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.Implement and maintain robust financial controls across all projects.Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with project managers, the finance team, and other departments to provide financial insights and support for project decision-making.Communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders.Act as a key point of contact for all Sicon-related queries and issues.Key RequirementsExperience:Proven experience working with Sicon software, with advanced user skills and a deep understanding of its capabilities.Experience working with Sage 200 accounting software and Sicon software simultaneously.Strong understanding of construction project accounting principles and practices.Skills & Competencies:Advanced proficiency in Sicon software, including customisation and configuration for project accounting purposes.Proficiency with Sage 200 accounting software, specifically knowledge, of how it interacts with Sicon.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to various stakeholders.Proficiency in Excel and other financial software is advantageous.Personal Attributes:Highly organised, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.Adaptable and open to change, with a continuous improvement mindset.Strong sense of ownership and accountability in delivering high-quality financial management.Our commitment to youAs a key member of our team you will be encouraged to develop yourself further using all the tools made available to you by the business.
