Summary: The role of SharePoint Engineer involves developing Modern Workplace solutions using SharePoint and Microsoft 365 services for a prestigious professional services client. Candidates should possess strong infrastructure and server configuration experience, along with expertise in SharePoint Framework and related technologies. The position requires adaptability in a high-pressure environment and includes travel to the client site 2-3 days per week. This is an inside IR35 contract role working via an umbrella company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop quality Modern Workplace solutions using SharePoint and Microsoft 365 services.
- Utilize SharePoint Framework (SPFx), SharePoint Apps, and TypeScript.
- Implement and manage SharePoint services, object model, and architecture.
- Conduct multiple content migrations using various migration tools.
- Work with Azure DevOps and Azure Logic Apps.
- Develop client-side web parts and scripting solutions.
- Maintain code control using Git repositories and Azure DevOps.
- Provide infrastructure support related to SharePoint.
Key Skills:
- Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and SharePoint Apps.
- General understanding of SharePoint services and architecture.
- Proficient in PowerShell and Microsoft 365 Patterns and Practices.
- Strong scripting skills and infrastructure experience.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and content migration tools (SPMT, ShareGate, Metalogix).
- Proficient in JavaScript, JSON, React, .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET), REST services.
- Experience with Visual Studio Code or Visual Studio.
- Competent understanding of SharePoint-related infrastructure.

Currently looking for a SharePoint Engineer with Infrastructure and server configuration experience for a project with a prestigious professional services end customer. As an accomplished software technology expert, you'll craft quality Modern Workplace solutions using SharePoint and related Microsoft 365 and Azure services, thriving in a dynamic, high-pressure environment. The role will require:
- Knowledge of SharePoint Framework(SPFx)/SharePoint Apps/TypeScript
- General understanding of SharePoint services, object model and architecture (sites, lists/libraries, search, user profile services, etc.)
- Knowledge of the SharePoint object model
- Experienced with PowerShell
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Patterns and Practices
- Knowledge of classic versus modern experiences
You will ideally have experience of JavaScript and be experienced in developing client side web parts
- Strong Scripting and Infrastructure experience
Skills and experiences :
- Experienced with Azure DevOps
- Multiple Content migrations (Online and On Premisses) with one or more migration tools (SPMT, ShareGate, Metalogix etc.)
- Experience with Azure Logic Apps, Web Services, Functions & Secure coding
- Proficient in one or more of the following: JavaScript, JSON, React and related scripting, .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET), REST services & PowerShell
- Experience with Code Control(Git Repositories, ADO)
- Experience with Visual Studio Code OR Visual Studio
- Competent understanding of SharePoint-related infrastructure
This is an inside IR35 Contract role working via Umbrella Company with travel to client site required 2-3 days per week.
