Summary: The SharePoint Site Administrator will lead the operationalization of a newly designed corporate SharePoint site for a large retail business in Coventry, West Midlands. This role focuses on optimizing the site for user experience, managing content, and ensuring security protocols are in place. The administrator will also drive user adoption and engagement through training and support materials. The position is contract-based for six weeks with potential for an ongoing relationship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finalise site configuration, structure, navigation, and features to create an intuitive user experience
  • Implement and manage access control, permissions, and security protocols
  • Collaborate with content authors to develop and manage core site content — documents, news pages, and multimedia
  • Develop method of monitoring site usage and engagement through analytics, driving continuous improvements
  • Develop support materials and champion user adoption through proactive engagement and training strategies

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience administering and managing SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Modern environments within a corporate setting
  • Strong understanding of site configuration and structure, permissions and access control management, content management, site governance, compliance, and security best practices
  • Familiarity with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps) to enhance site functionality and automate processes
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem and integration with SharePoint (Teams, OneDrive, Office apps, etc.)
  • Experience with site analytics and reporting to monitor usage and inform continuous improvement
  • Strong awareness of user experience (UX) principles, ensuring the site remains accessible, intuitive, and user-friendly
  • Ability to work collaboratively with content owners, authors, and business stakeholders
  • A proactive, self-driven approach with a focus on continuous learning and keeping current with SharePoint developments

We’re Hiring: SharePoint Site Administrator Develop, optimise, and drive adoption of a corporate digital hub. Are you passionate about delivering high-impact digital communication platforms ? Do you have hands-on expertise in SharePoint administration, configuration, content management, and security ? We are looking for a SharePoint Site Administrator to take the lead in launching a newly designed corporate SharePoint site. With the site's visual design and architecture already in place , we now need an expert to operationalise it — ensuring it delivers real value to our business users, a large retail business based in Coventry, West Midlands
